My Converter (Driver) cannot convert Word and Excel file, and I can't see .doc and .xls in the "supported file format" list.

Issue

Unable to convert Word and Excel files to PDF using Gaaiho PDF Converter even the license is successfully activated (but is able to convert with Right PDF/ Gaaiho PDF virtual printer or Right PDF/ Gaaiho PDF Addin in Office). Error message: "The file 'xxxx' was not added because it cannot be converted to PDF with Right PDF/ Gaaiho PDF Converter / Convert to PDF".

Description

There are two possibilities to this situation:

1. You do not have Microsoft Office installed in your PC ( Right PDF/ Gaaiho PDF Converter utilizes Microsoft Office utilities when performing PDF conversions);
2. You do have Microsoft Office installed in your PC, but "Visual Basic for Application" is not installed (this should be a rare case since the application is installed by default). 

Solution

For the 1st case, certain features requires the utilization of Microsoft Office utilities when performing PDF conversions. Therefore, Microsoft Office must be installed. With Right PDF 6, you could install WPS Office or Open Office instead to convert Word to PDF.

For the 2nd case, first of all, make sure your product is activated. Then open Right PDF/ Gaaiho PDF Converter, select "Convert to PDF" > "Support" > "Supported file types" and see if Microsoft Office file types are NOT supported. If so, please repair your Office: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/project-help/repair-office-programs-HA010357402.aspx. During repairing, remember to select the "Visual Basic for Application" component.
