Unable to perform PDF related tasks on my IE browser after installing Gaaiho PDF

Issue

Some organizations that integrate IE (Internet Explorer) to perform PDF related tasks might encounter some issues after installing Gaaiho PDF Suite or Gaaiho Reader. 

 

Description

An IE plugin is installed when you checked the "Set Gaaiho Reader as the default PDF Reader" checkbox during installation. This plugin will allow users to view PDF files directly in IE browser (IE does not support the display of PDF files directly in the browser), which may have compatibility issues with your original services.  

 

Solution

Since the announcement of EOL of IE by Microsoft, we will no longer provide updates to this plugin. Users with above issue can remove the plugin following instructions below:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Apps & features", find "Gaaiho PDF Suite" or "Gaaiho Reader", and click on "Modify"
  2. Choose "Modify" > "Next" >"Next"


  3. Uncheck the "Set Gaaiho Reader as the default PDF Reader" checkbox
